Cyrus
Gender: Male
Age: 23
Height: 5'10"
Life: Expert Tailor
Cyrus is a young man who loves to work with his hands, choosing tailoring as his main Life. In his spare time he enjoys cooking as well. He’s generally very kind and goes with the flow, always having a smile on his face. Though, he can be easily flustered if he’s teased. He's been known to bottle up his true emotions at times, always trying to appear stronger (emotionally) than he really is.
Sewing is his passion, often working hours on end in the workshop. Because of this he usually has bandages on his hands, having had pricked and cut his fingers accidentally during his work. He’s happy to make clothes for anyone who asks (as well as soft toys). He'd really like to own his own clothing line in Reveria someday, but for now he continues to work hard on whatever task he currently has.
He claims to be Pop’s older brother, but they're not blood related. If anything, he's more of a father figure towards her. Despite Pop being a full blown brat, he never gets angry at her. He is extremely tolerant, loving his spoiled sister dearly.
He grew up in Port Puerto, living with his mom and two dads. His mother was a musician, while one father was a magic scholar and the other being a "very adventurous fisherman." He had a fairly happy childhood, which made it all the harder for him to leave home when he decided to work under Madam Purl in Castele once he reached the age of 16. His first two years of working were really rough. He had gotten a lot better, but still lacked a lot of skill and individuality. His work was hardly ever bought by clothing stores, so he had a really bad income. He ended up living in a rather small shack-of-a-house that had two rooms: the main room which consisted of a bed and a small kitchen, then a bathroom.
At age 18 Cyrus had reached his breaking point, beginning to regret leaving his home in Port Puerto to try to become a tailor. He left the workshop during break one day, not able to stand being there any longer. He hadn't planned on walking all the way home, instead just aimlessly wandering though the East Grassy Plains. By the time the sun had set, he found himself lost in the Deep Elderwood. He managed to find a small nook hidden behind some bushes, hiding there since he had no weapon to defend himself with. He tried to sleep so he could try to find his way back to Castele in the morning, but he was too scared and cold to even close his eyes.
Cyrus’ presence had caused a bit of a stir with some of the spirits- as humans were not allowed there at the time. One of the spirits, being Pino, managed to track him down- telling him to leave the forest and go home immediately. Soon after Cyrus began to break down, wanting so badly to go home to Port Puerto but knowing he couldn't. He ended up flat out bawling in front of the stranger, spilling out everything that he had held in for those two years of living in Castele. Ultimately, the spirit reluctantly decided that Cyrus could stay with him for one night- planning on helping him travel back to Castele the next day. That one night ended up lasting for a week, Pino staying by Cyrus' side for the majority of it.
Eventually Cyrus had to head back to Castele, despite wanting to stay with Pino longer. He had grown awfully attached to him, and before leaving the two made a promise to see each other again.
After that things started to look up. Cyrus started using more nature inspired motifs and floral patterns in his work, and spent lots of his time outside while sewing and sketching up new designs. His skills got even better since he was putting so much love into his work now, and was able to finally sell the things he made- even having a small demand at one point. Even though he liked it before, tailoring was now his true passion in Life. He met up with Pino quite often too, telling him about all his progress and keeping him updated with everything. He soon found himself having a crush on the spirit, coming to really value their time together.
